Grant's Cask Editions Ale Cask Finish (75cl, 40%)

A blended Scotch whisky from Grant's Cask Editions range, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It combines grain and aged malt whiskies, which are given a final maturation in ale casks. The ale cask finish is what sets this edition apart from a standard blend, adding the character of ale-influenced oak to the Scotch beneath it. The nose is of vanilla, oak and a little malted barley. On the palate it is sweet and malty, with hints of caramel and gentle dried fruit, followed by a warming, lingering finish.
