Grappa Barricata - Mazzetti (70cl)

A grappa from Mazzetti, served warm and enveloping, with balance between structure and finesse. The nose opens on sweet wood and vanilla, with dried fruit and delicate spice; the palate is rounded, with gentle warmth and a persistent finish of cocoa and toasted almond. The amber colour confirms the influence of wood without weighing the spirit down. It is best served in a tulip glass at around 16 to 18 degrees, or slightly cooler in summer. It suits dark chocolate, small dry pastries and aged cheeses, or as a digestif after a structured dinner.
