Grappa di Amarone from Bonollo is a clear, crystalline distillate made from Amarone della Valpolicella pomace. The nose is intense and enveloping, with fruity notes of cherry, plum and blueberry alongside sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon and a light touch of dark chocolate. On the palate it is soft and rounded, with a structured, persistent taste and further notes of dried fruit and a pleasant toasted note. It is suited to sipping neat after a meal or with chocolate and dried-fruit desserts.
