Grappa Mazzetti Riserva Gaia is an aged grappa from Mazzetti d'Altavilla in Piedmont. Its long ageing in fine wooden casks gives vanilla, cocoa, sweet spices and a light dried-fruit note on the nose. On the palate it is velvety and full, with caramel, liquorice and a persistent toasted almond finish. It is suited to the end of a meal, perhaps with dark chocolate or cream and dried-fruit desserts. The 70cl bottle is elegant and refined.
