This Glen Garioch comes from the GreatDrams Single Cask Series and was matured in a single ex-bourbon cask. It was distilled in February 2013 and bottled in September 2021 at eight years old, at 48.2%, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The outturn was 200 bottles, each of 50cl.
The nose is honeyed malt, vanilla cream and baked orchard fruit, with barley sugar, toasted cereals and a slightly earthy edge. On the palate it is full-bodied and textured, with creamy toffee, malt biscuits, ripe pear, vanilla and toasted oak, then warming spice and citrus oils. The finish is medium to long and slightly drying, with honeyed malt, black pepper and soft oak spice.
