Green River Honey Finished Bourbon (75cl, 46%)

Green River Honey Finished Bourbon is a four-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. After maturation, raw unfiltered honey is added directly into the barrel for the finish. The honey is not blended in at bottling, so this is neither a liqueur nor a flavoured whiskey. It is typically described as classic Green River bourbon, with caramel, vanilla and oak from new charred oak, joined by wildflower honey, beeswax and floral sweetness. The honey reads as integrated rather than syrupy, and the finish is soft and rounded.
