Green River Rye Whiskey is a Kentucky straight rye bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled, aged and bottled at Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro. The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the whiskey is a blend of barrels aged between four and six years. It comes in the brand's horseshoe bottle, with the original 1885 labelling. The tasting notes describe orange peel and fresh spearmint over a base of vanilla and graham cracker. The palate is easy-drinking, with citrus and mint throughout, and the finish is medium, with mild rye spice, herbal tea and soft oak.
