Green Spot 10 Year Old 100th Anniversary Single Pot Still

This is a 10 year old single pot still Irish whiskey, released to mark 100 years since the debut of Green Spot Single Pot Still. It is a limited edition. The bottling revives the historic 10 year age statement, a nod to the old Green Spot habit of marking casks with coloured paint to show their age. The whiskey was matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. The nose is floral honey, coffee cake, toffee and orchard fruits with gentle warming spice. On the palate come cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and dried fruits, with sweet apple crumble and creamy barley. The finish is long, with pot still spice and lingering orchard fruit.
