Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Green Spot is a single pot still Irish whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The name goes back to Mitchell & Son, a Dublin wine merchant dating from 1805, which filled its own casks with spirit from Jameson's old Bow Street distillery and marked them with a coloured spot once the whiskey reached the right age. Green stood for whiskey up to 10 years old. The notes describe a fruity nose with strong malt and fresh wood, then spice, malt and honey on the palate with a fruity body. The sweetness lingers on.
