Green Spot is a single pot still Irish whiskey with roots in Mitchell & Son, a Dublin fine-food merchant founded in 1805. The business, known as a bonder, sourced distillate from the Jameson Distillery and matured it in a variety of casks, including wine and fortified wine casks. These were stored in disused cellar vaults beneath the old streets of Dublin, and once the whiskey reached the right age the casks were marked with a daub of paint. Green traditionally denotes whiskey up to ten years old. This bottling is composed of whiskey aged seven to ten years and matured in new and used bourbon casks and sherry casks. It is velvety on the tongue, with a fruity body.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
