Green Spot is a triple-distilled Irish single pot still whiskey, made at Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill uses both malted and unmalted barley. The whiskey is vatted from single pot still spirit aged between seven and ten years in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry butts. The name comes from the spot of coloured paint that the Mitchell & Son wine merchants of Dublin once used to mark casks of different ages. The nose is green apple peel, ripe pear, vanilla and honeyed barley. The palate is creamy, with brown sugar, orchard fruit, toasted oak and mild pepper. The finish is medium and gently drying, with vanilla and soft oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
