Green Spot is an Irish single pot still whisky bottled at 40%. It is made at the Midleton Distillery for Mitchell & Son from malted and unmalted barley, distilled three times in copper stills.
The whiskies in the blend are between 7 and 10 years old. They were matured mainly in bourbon casks, then moved into sherry casks. The colour is golden yellow.
The nose offers malted barley and fresh nuts, moving towards ripe peach and baked apple. The palate is lively and creamy, with green apple, vanilla, toasted oak and a little clove. The finish is balanced and lightly minty, with almond and ripe fruit.
