Green Spot Single Pot Still is an Irish single pot still whisky made up of pot still whiskies aged between 7 and 10 years. It was matured in new casks, ex-bourbon casks and sherry casks.
The brand comes from Mitchell & Son, Dublin wine merchants who began trading in 1805 on Grafton Street. They bought whisky fresh from the stills, matured and bottled it themselves, and sold it under their own brand.
The name Spot comes from the practice of marking casks of different ages with a different colour.
