Griffo Stout Barreled Whiskey is a Sonoma County whiskey from Griffo Distillery, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was inspired by the distillery's brewery friends.
The mash bill is 55% corn, 35% rye and 10% roasted barley. The whiskey spends time in new American oak, then finishes in used stout beer barrels from Lagunitas Brewery.
Fresh fig, caramel, coffee bean and chocolate lead on both the nose and the palate. The finish is long, with espresso, chocolate and a hint of tobacco.
