Guerin Vermouth Blanc is a sweet white vermouth from the Charentes in south-west France, made by the Puy Gaudin family. It is built on a wine base of Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Montils, with white Pineau des Charentes, caramelised grape juice and botanicals. It is aged for several months in Cognac casks.
The nose is frank and floral with a light green touch, with hawthorn and green anise. The palate is soft and warm, with white peaches and acacia, leading to a long, gentle finish with angelica. It suits serving chilled and neat as an aperitif, in a spritz, or in a White Negroni.
