Gut Hermannsberg Weisser Burgunder 2023 Nahe (75cl, 11.5%)

This is a 2023 Weisser Burgunder from Gut Hermannsberg in the Nahe, made from grapes grown in the estate's VDP Grosse Lage vineyards. It is a dry white at 11.5% abv, in a 75cl bottle. The estate was founded in 1902 by the Prussian state and changed hands in 2010. It now farms 30 hectares, all classified Grosse Lage, and the volcanic soils are reflected in the wine. The palate is light and fresh, with crisp yellow apple and a good balance of fruit and acidity. The finish is long and creamy, with apple notes lingering.
