This is a French brandy from the 1898 vintage, bottled in the late 1940s for H. B. Fearon Block & Co. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The merchant name has a traceable history. H. B. Fearon & Son was acquired by Block, and the two businesses were incorporated in 1906. The firm later traded as Grey & Block, and finally as Block, Grey & Block, from premises at 26 South Audley Street in London.
