Hakushu 12 Year Old 100th Anniversary is a Japanese single malt made to mark Suntory Whisky's centenary, in a limited edition design. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made from selected malt whiskies, each aged for at least 12 years in various casks. The Hakushu Distillery sits on Mt. Kaikomagatake, and the blenders work with peat while softening the palate with local mountain water filtered through ancient granite. The bottle illustration shows the distillery in soft hues of green, for the surrounding forest. The whisky is fresh and gently smoky.
