Hakushu Distiller's Reserve (70cl)

Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese blend of several single malts in a 70cl bottle. One part is young and lightly peated, aged for at least 8 years in bourbon casks. The other is a mix of heavily peated and unpeated malts aged for around 18 years in American oak casks. All the casks were selected by hand by Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory's master blender, and the bottling is a limited edition. The nose is delicate and floral, with green apple, mint, vanilla, melon and freshly cut grass. The palate is creamy, with spice, liquorice, mint, citrus, pine needles and light smoke. The finish lasts well, with smoky wood.
