Hamilton Jamaican Gold Rum (75cl, 46.5%)

This is a gold Jamaican rum blended from light, very light and heavy pot still rum sourced from the Worthy Park Estate, which has grown sugar cane and made rum since 1670. The rum is distilled from the estate's own molasses. It is brought to Westfield, New York, and reduced with filtered well water to 93 proof over five days. It is coloured with gold tint caramel, and the maker says that amounts to less than three drops per 75cl bottle. The nose shows tropical florals, leading to baked, ripe bananas on the palate and a grassy finish.
