Handy & Schiller Barreled Manhattan is a ready-to-drink cocktail of Sazerac Rye Whiskey, vermouth and Peychaud's Bitters, bottled at 35% in a 75cl bottle.
The blend is aged together in Sazerac Rye barrels at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, so the rye, vermouth and bitters settle together in the wood before bottling. It can be poured neat or over ice with a cherry or orange twist.
The nose offers vanilla-almond nougat, candied cherry and butterscotch over rye spice, tobacco and toast. The palate is satiny and moderately sweet, light to medium in body. The finish brings fruit, banana taffy, molasses and raisin cake.
