Handy & Schiller Barreled Old Fashioned Cocktail (75cl, 42%)

This is a ready-to-drink Old Fashioned in a 75cl bottle, made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Peychaud's Bitters. It is bottled at 42% ABV and comes from the Sazerac company's Handy & Schiller line. The bourbon and bitters are rested together in the warehouses at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, before bottling. It is meant to be poured neat or over ice, with an orange twist as the classic finishing touch. On the nose there are Chinese five-spice and sesame, with a hint of mint and tobacco. The palate is satiny, moderately sweet and light to medium in body, with clear oak over the bourbon. The finish brings allspice, clove, vanilla, peanut brittle and chewy caramel, closing on a creamy citrus note.
