Hankey Bannister Original Blended Scotch Whisky (75cl, 40%)

A blended Scotch whisky at 40% ABV, built on Highland malt whiskies, including Old Pulteney, AnCnoc and Balmenach, and light Lowland grain whisky. It is unpeated and aged for a minimum of three years in oak. The name goes back to 1757, when London wine and spirits merchants Beaumont Hankey and Hugh Bannister established the brand. The blend itself dates from the 1890s, and it is now made by Inver House Distillers under master blender Stuart Harvey. The colour is creamy toffee with a golden hue. The nose is light, with a spiciness that adds depth. The palate is light, clean, sweet and spicy with honeyed tones, leading to a pleasant, lasting finish.
