Hanyu – 1985/2006 Single Malt Ace of Spades (70cl, 55.7%)

This is a single malt from Hanyu, distilled in 1985 and bottled in 2006 at cask strength, 55.7%, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a hogshead and then finished in a Spanish oak sherry butt, and 300 bottles were produced. It is the Ace of Spades in the Ichiro's Malt Card series, released by Ichiro Akuto's Venture Whisky. Venture Whisky took over the remaining Hanyu casks after the distillery ceased production in 2000. The series runs to 58 releases, each with a playing card label.
