This is a 21 year old Hanyu from the Noh Whisky series, distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2009 at 55.6% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a Spanish oak sherry butt, cask 9306, which gave 625 bottles.
The series pays homage to the Noh mask, the hand-carved wooden mask central to Japanese theatre. The Hanyu distillery is no longer in operation, so its whisky is now released only through independent bottlers.
