Happenstance 10 Year Old is a single-barrel straight bourbon, distilled in Kentucky and bottled by Happenstance Distilling Co. in Nashville, Tennessee. Each bottle comes from an individual barrel rather than a blended batch.
It spent ten years maturing in new charred American oak and is bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof).
The nose offers salted butterscotch, cinnamon oil, caramelised sugar and toasted oak. On the palate it is full-bodied, with melted toffee, maple, baking spice and a cola-like depth. The finish is long and warming, with pepper, toasted oak and a little tobacco.
