Hard Truth French Oak Finished Bourbon is the first Barrel Finish Reserve release of 2026, in a 75cl bottle. It brings together two Hard Truth mash bills, a straight bourbon and a high malt bourbon, in a batch drawn from 23 barrels.
The blend is finished in toasted French oak casks, which add ripe fruit and buttery pastry notes to the original rich sweetness.
The nose is apricot jam and buttered croissant, opening to honey and clove. The palate has sweet candied fruit and buttered toffee, building to rye spice and oak. The finish is warm and lingering, with apricot and baking spice fading to cracked black pepper and brûléed sugar.
