Hard Truth Mizunara Barrel Finish is a wheated bourbon from Indiana, part of the distillery's Barrel Finish Reserve. It is a small batch made from just 24 barrels, finished in Mizunara oak and sold in a 750ml bottle.
The soft tones of wheated bourbon meet one of the world's most distinctive oaks, giving gentle spice and creamy sweetness, with hints of toasted nut and dark coffee on the finish.
The nose is nougat with vanilla and maple syrup, cacao and cinnamon. The palate offers candied pecan and peach cobbler, then salted almond cookie with Bavarian cream. The finish is warming baking spice and candied peach, leading to oak, toasted pecan and black coffee.
