Hard Truth Mizunara Finished Straight Wheated Bourbon is a limited release from the Hard Truth Barrel Finish Reserve range, in a 75cl bottle.
It starts as a straight wheated bourbon, which is then finished in Mizunara oak and toasted barrels. Mizunara is a Japanese oak.
The nose brings vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, honey, warm grain, baking spice, coconut and soft sandalwood. The palate is smooth, with caramelised sugar, vanilla bean, cinnamon, honeyed wheat and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, with oak, soft spice, vanilla and a little coconut.
