A limited bourbon from Hard Truth Distilling in Indiana, in a 750ml bottle. It is the first Barrel Finish Reserve release of 2026.
The batch was drawn from 23 barrels, blending the distillery's straight and high-malt bourbon mash bills, and then finished in toasted French oak casks. The finish adds ripe fruit and buttery pastry character to the bourbon's sweetness.
The nose is apricot jam and buttered croissant, opening to honey and clove. The palate brings candied fruit and buttered toffee, then rye spice and oak. The finish is long, with apricot and baking spice fading to black pepper and bruleed sugar.
