Hard Truth Sweet Mash High Road Rye Whiskey (75cl, 46.5%)

High Road is a sweet mash rye from Hard Truth Distilling Co. in Nashville, Indiana, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 55% rye, 36% corn and 9% malted barley. It is the distillery's first year-round sweet mash rye with corn in the grain bill, launched in July 2023. Every batch starts with entirely fresh ingredients rather than a sour mash, and is drawn in small batches from around 30 barrels. The nose offers apricot jam, honey, baking spice and graham cracker. On the palate come vanilla, maple, custard, caramel and praline pecan, with cinnamon, allspice and white pepper. The finish is long, with caramel fading to honey, coffee and nougat over charred oak.
