Hardin's Creek Warehouse Series Release 2, 'The Beaver One', is an 11 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. It is bottled at barrel proof, 55.1% ABV, in a 750ml bottle.
It is the second release in the Warehouse Series, which looks at how oak, time and warehouse conditions shape bourbon. The beaver theme nods to wood: the label is deep emerald green with a woodland illustration, and the closure is copper-toned.
On the palate it shows toffee, caramelised sugar, vanilla, seasoned oak, cinnamon, dark fruit and baking spice, with a substantial mouthfeel and a long, warming finish.
