This is a cream sherry from Harveys of Bristol, a bottling from the 1980s in a one-litre bottle at 20% vol. The style was developed in the company's cellars in the second half of the 19th century.
The blend draws on wines from fifty different soleras, including Fino, Amontillado and Oloroso. Pedro Ximénez from sun-dried grapes is added for sweetness and the creamy richness of the aftertaste. The company's estate vineyards in Jerez Superior supply the Palomino grapes that form the base.
