Harveys Bristol Cream is a cream sherry at 20% in a 70cl bottle, from the 1970s. The style began in the company's cellars in Bristol, where John Harvey's sons developed what was seen as a new type of sherry, creamy in flavour and texture. The blend starts with wines from fifty soleras, covering Fino, Amontillado and Oloroso. A little Pedro Ximénez, made from sun-dried grapes, is added for sweetness and for the rich, creamy aftertaste that marks the wine. The company's estate vineyards are in Jerez Superior, with Palomino as the main grape.
