Hauner Malvasia delle Lipari Passito DOC (50cl)

A sweet passito wine from the island of Salina, in a 50cl bottle. Hauner takes its name from Carlo Hauner, a painter and designer from Brescia who settled on the island in 1963 and founded the winery. It is made from Malvasia di Lipari (95%) and Corinto Nero (5%). The bunches are left to dry in the open air for 15 to 20 days, then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and aged for at least 18 months in steel, followed by a further six months in bottle. The nose offers dried figs, dates, apricots and honey. The palate is very sweet and soft, with chamomile, hazelnut and honey.
