This is a seven-year-old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. It was aged in new charred oak.
The bottle is part of the Artist Series, one of three limited releases. Its label carries original watercolour artwork by the Kentucky artist Bri Bowers, depicting the Heaven Hill rickhouses in Bardstown where the barrels mature.
The nose offers soft caramel, warm vanilla, toasted oak and gentle baking spice. On the palate come maple-infused toffee, spiced oak, honeyed nuts and a touch of dried fruit, leading to a long, smooth finish of sweet oak and spice.
