Heaven Hill Barrel Proof Bourbon is a 27 year old Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 94.7 proof (47.4% ABV).
It is a single, one-time bottling drawn from 41 barrels distilled in 1989 and 1990 at the Old Heaven Hills Springs Distillery in Bardstown. These barrels came through the November 1996 fire that destroyed Heaven Hill's main distillery complex.
The colour is deep mahogany. Aged oak, dried fruit and vanilla lead on the nose, followed by toffee, dark fruit and leather on the palate. The finish is long and warming.
