Heaven Hill – Double Mash 9 Year Old Bottled in Bond Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Heaven Hill Double Mash is a nine-year-old Bottled-in-Bond bourbon from Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It combines two mashbills, both aged nine years: two-thirds a traditional recipe of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, and one-third a wheated recipe of 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley. Heaven Hill describes it as the first Bottled-in-Bond bourbon to bring two mashbills together. In the tasting notes, the nose is toasted oak, honey and white pepper. The palate offers honey, citrus oil and rich caramel, leading to a finish of caramel and baking spices.
