Heaven's Door Decade Series Release #03 10 Year Old Double Barrel Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

This is a 10 year old double barrel bourbon from Heaven's Door, the whiskey brand co-created with Bob Dylan. Release #03 is the final entry in the Decade Series, and it is a limited edition. It is a blend of 92% straight bourbon and 8% straight rye, all distilled between 2011 and 2013. After blending, the whiskey was matured a second time in heavily toasted Radoux French oak barrels. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle. The notes describe toasted almond, butterscotch and walnut on the nose, with vanilla bean, clove, dark caramel and baked plum on the palate. The finish is long and smooth, with sweet tobacco and charred oak.
