This is the sixth release in Heaven's Door's annual Bootleg Series, a Tennessee wheated bourbon bottled at 46.4% ABV (92.8 proof) in a 70cl ceramic bottle. It spent ten years in American oak and a further two in nectarine brandy casks, twelve years in all.
The bottle carries Bob Dylan's iron-gate-inspired artwork, 'The Photographer Playa de Portillhon, Cadaques, 2010'. Around 4,200 bottles were made.
The nose offers honeyed nectarine and brulee peach with vanilla bean and buttery caramel. Cinnamon and baked stone fruit follow on the palate, leading to a warm finish of toasted oak and dried apricot.
