Hebridean Wisp is a 16 year old single malt released by the independent bottler Fruitful Spirits, bottled at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a 50-year-old ex-Solera oloroso sherry butt and was bottled without added colour or chill-filtration, in an edition of 180 bottles.
Dense dark fruit and warm bakery spices sit within a soft, saline peat. The nose is coastal and lightly smoky, with sweet raisin and gentle spice. The palate is rich with dark fruit, and the finish is lingering smoke with a touch of oaky dryness.
