Hellinger is a whisky house founded in Dresden in 2022. While it works towards its own first whisky, it offers single malt distilled in Scotland by a well-known Speyside distillery. This smoky expression is bottled at 46%.
The nose has fine smoke meeting melting dark chocolate, ripe light apples, pears and vanilla. The palate brings gentle smoke, sweet caramel and more vanilla, with the influence of a bourbon cask clearly showing. The finish has a smoky echo, a fine sweetness and baked apple.
