Hemingway Signature Edition is a rye whiskey from Hemingway Whiskey Company of Bardstown, Kentucky, and the flagship of a brand that debuted in 2023. It blends 90% six-year-old Indiana straight rye, from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, with 10% four-year-old Kentucky straight rye. Both parts are finished in rum-seasoned Oloroso sherry casks. The brand was founded by Steve Groth with master distillers Ron Call and his son Jacob Call, and is named for Ernest Hemingway.
The nose offers dried fruit and raisins, toasted nuts, nutmeg and cocoa with a hint of citrus zest. The palate is honeyed and peppery, and the finish lingers with vanilla, oak and baked-fruit sweetness.
