Hennessy VSOP Privilege Chinese New Year 2020 by Zhang Huan (75cl, 40%)

This is Hennessy VSOP Privilege cognac in the 2020 Chinese New Year edition for the Year of the Rat. The bottle and box carry artwork by the contemporary artist Zhang Huan, in a red lacquered finish. The cognac itself is the standard VSOP blend. It combines around 60 eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois, aged in French oak, with the youngest at least four years old. The nose offers fruit and honey with soft vanilla, clove and cinnamon. The palate has candied fruit, vanilla and toasted oak, and the finish is long, harmonious and woody.
