Hennessy VSOP Privilège Chinese New Year 2022 by Zhang Enli (75cl, 40%)

This is the Year of the Tiger limited edition of Hennessy VSOP Privilège, a 40% ABV cognac in a 75cl bottle. The label carries original artwork by Shanghai-based contemporary artist Zhang Enli, titled "Poetry and Wine Welcome the Tiger": water droplets gathering into a prowling tiger as it rises from the Charente. Inside is the familiar VSOP blend of more than 60 eaux-de-vie, aged largely in partially used barrels so the oak stays subtle. VSOP means the youngest eaux-de-vie spent at least four years in oak. French oak, fresh vanilla, cinnamon, candied fruit and clove lead, with the fruit coming through to a long finish.
