A sweet fortified wine from Henriques & Henriques in Câmara de Lobos, Madeira, made entirely from Malvasia, the grape the English once called Malmsey. It is bottled at 20% ABV.
The wine is aged for a minimum of ten years by the canteiro method, and the age on the label reflects the youngest wine in the blend.
On the nose and palate come raisin, dried fig and orange peel over honey, caramel and vanilla, with roasted nuts and a saline note. It is rich, full-bodied and fragrant, and its acidity carries the sweetness to a long, balanced finish.
