Henry Deringer is an American single malt whiskey distilled in Oklahoma and aged for 8 years in new charred white oak barrels. It is a single barrel release bottled at cask strength, 61% ABV, in collaboration with the World Whiskey Society. The name honours Henry Deringer, the 19th-century gunsmith who invented the Philadelphia pocket pistol. The nose offers malted barley, wildflower honey, dried apricot and light caramel, with molasses and toffee. Honeyed malt and stone fruit lead the palate, followed by toffee, caramel and light black tea tannins. The finish is long and warming, with malt sweetness and soft fruit preserves.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
