Henry McKenna 10 Year is a single barrel, bottled-in-bond Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle.
The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The whiskey spends ten years in new charred American oak barrels, well beyond the four-year minimum for bottled-in-bond. As a single barrel bottling, each bottle varies slightly from the next.
The nose is caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spice, with burnt sugar and leather. The palate brings caramel, honey, dried fruit and roasted nuts, with building rye spice and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with toasted oak, clove and roasted corn.
