Hibiki Japanese Harmony (70cl, 43%)

Hibiki Japanese Harmony is a Japanese blended whisky from Suntory, introduced in 2015. It combines malt and grain whiskies from the three Suntory distilleries, Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita, matured in five kinds of cask including American white oak, sherry and Mizunara, the Japanese oak. The bottle has 24 facets, one for each of the 24 seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar. It is bottled at 43%. The nose is floral, with rose and lychee, a hint of rosemary and a touch of sandalwood. The palate is honeyed, with candied orange peel and white chocolate, and the long, subtle finish carries a hint of Mizunara.
