This is the 2021 limited edition of Hibiki Japanese Harmony, a Suntory blend of malt and grain whiskies. Its name, Ryusui-Hyakka, means flowing water, one hundred flowers, and the 24-facet Hibiki bottle carries floral patterns with gold accents inspired by that idea.
The blend combines malt whisky from Yamazaki and Hakushu with Chita grain whisky, matured in American white oak, Spanish oak and Mizunara oak.
The nose is honey, orange peel and white chocolate. The palate is smooth and layered, and the finish is gentle and lingering, with a sweet warmth.
